A powerful new documentary, “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy”, shines a spotlight on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs' controversial career, offering an inside look at his rise to fame and the criminal accusations that have now clouded his legacy.
According to the Daily Mail, the 90-minute special, set to stream on Peacock from January 14, features shocking interviews with key figures from Diddy's past, including childhood friends, and former bodyguards.
These insiders provide fresh insights into the mogul's life, alongside previously unseen footage that captures the highs and lows of his career.
One notable participant is Al B. Sure!, an ex-Uptown Records label mate and former partner of Kim Porter, who later became involved with Combs. In the documentary, he breaks his silence on the mogul's alleged dark side.
The trailer, released on Thursday, teases moments from the rapper’s life in the studio and at parties. In one chilling statement, an unnamed insider claims, "Anytime a studio or any room is lit with red lighting, he's making love, sex. Some of the girls who were in the room, for sure, they were underage."
Another unidentified woman adds, "They said they could ship me off and sell me to anyone," suggesting disturbing details of Diddy’s alleged dodgy behaviour behind closed doors.
Peacock promises that the documentary will delve into Combs' transformation over the years, from his early days to the creation of his "Bad Boy" persona.
The film will explore the factors that shaped the man and could have contributed to his darker side, with some referring to him as "a monster".
Attorney Lisa Bloom, who represents Dawn Richards in a lawsuit against Combs, declares in the trailer, "Sean Combs is a monster".
The documentary also sheds light on Combs' current legal battle. The music mogul, who is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution, remains in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in New York City while awaiting trial. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
In addition to the sex trafficking charges, Combs faces a number of other serious allegations. A newly filed lawsuit accuses him of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, who claims he aggressively approached her before the assault, with another male celebrity and an unnamed female celebrity allegedly watching.
Combs has firmly denied these allegations, with his legal team stating that the claims are simply "clear attempts to garner publicity".
