There's a new reality TV contender in town, and it's bringing all the luxury, sass, and high-stakes drama we could ask for.

“Selling The City” drops us into the heart of Manhattan's posh real estate scene, where million-dollar deals are just the tip of the iceberg. It's the first season, so it's still finding its groove but its got potential.

Welcome to New York City as we tag along with the elite brokers of Douglas Elliman, who are selling posh penthouses with views to die for. And let's not forget the designer clothing, sky-high stilettos and a sprinkle of bling — after all, when you're selling million-dollar homes, you’ve gotta look the part.

The cast includes the opinionated firecracker, Jade Chan, the rookie Abigail Godfrey, the chic and glamorous Gisselle Meneses Nunez, the Southern belle Taylor Middleton Scavo, the boss queen Eleonora Srugo, the cool and collected Jordyn Taylor Braff, who is former ex-girlfriend of Trevor Noah, and the charming but somewhat mysterious Justin Tuinstra.

From the start, it’s clear that Eleonora is the show’s shining star. Her glow-up is front and centre. Gone are the days of being labelled “the average friend”; now, she’s all diamond earrings, flawless fashion, and a face beat for the gods.

Her candidness about her past struggles makes her engaging, especially when she reveals her vulnerable side in episode four.

But this show isn’t just about her rise. Jade is the true villain. She's ready to spill all the tea, throwing shade at anyone in her path, with a side of petty drama and unsolicited opinions.

We love her for it, though, because what’s reality TV without a little chaos?

The tension between Jade and Eleonora is palpable from the start, with their decades-long friendship now a battle of egos.

Think of it as a catfight but with a business edge.

Meanwhile, Jordyn is the chilled broker, known for working with celebs like Noah while keeping things casual.

Then there’s Abigail, who’s still finding her footing, and Taylor, who’s all about making moves. However, her success lands her in hot water.

And let’s not forget about Gisselle, a glamorous single mom from Jersey, serving up sass and style as she stirs the pot.

There is some male energy in the show. Justin (Eleonora’s former lover) still hangs around the office causing sparks to fly. They share a complicated but respectful relationship.

What makes “Selling the City” stand out is not just about the million-dollar listings — it’s the office dynamics and tension among these powerful women as backstabbing and rivalry take root.

Rating: 3/5 - solid and enjoyable, though not groundbreaking.
