In 2015, a dress went viral on social media, sparking a huge debate about its colour. While it was believed that the dress was blue and black, most people saw gold and white.
This year marks ten years since the infamous dress went viral and we still don’t know what colour it was.
South African global sensation and fashion icon Tyla, who was in her early teens when the dress first went viral, added her opinion and said it’s white and gold.
“It’s white and gold. Done,” she said.
When one of her followers protested and said it was blue and black, she responded: “Girl, please.”
Others said it was blue and gold and argued that the reason it looked white and gold was because of the contrast in the photo.
Some said they saw different colours each time they checked the image of the dress.
“I saw it as white and gold the first time I saw Tyla's post, only for me to come back to her same post and it's turned into blue and gold. You can't be wrong with the colour you see this is some psychology sh*t.”
Others commended Tyla for being on the right side of history, while several noted that although they saw a different colour, they went with whatever she said.
“I only see blue and black, but if Tyla says white and gold, from now on this dress is white and gold,” said @edtyc.
In other news, Tyla revealed how she likes the first and last slice of bread toasted with butter and Tabasco sauce.
