Media personality Dr Musa Mthombeni celebrated his wife’s birthday in style, gifting Liesel Laurie-Mthombeni with an international trip.
The couple who always travel together, went to Munich, Germany, to celebrate the former Miss South Africa’s (2015) 33rd birthday.
It was a surprise as Laurie had no idea where they were going.
“After a few weeks of intense stress and planning, I finally surprised Liesl with plans for another #ILD. This time around we have a complete throwback. Who remembers watching ‘The Amazing Race’ on SABC 3 at 19:30?
“Remember the arguments you would have with your parents? They would want to watch their 4th ‘episode’ of the same news they’ve been watching since 17:00, and you wanted to know who would get yielded in Mongolia,” Mthombeni wrote.
“Anyway, this has the same energy. It’s #InternationalLieslDay. Not so much day as it is a week. Liesl has no clue where we’re going, what we’re doing, what we’re eating and what the actual plan is, but all will be revealed over the next few days! It’s a surprise 🖤Let’s go!”
And before she knew it, the birthday girl was at Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Concert”, having the time of her life with her man.
They looked so cute in matching outfits and Mthombeni’s followers were impressed with his planning skills.

The couple continues to document their stay in Munich as they plan on celebrating Laurie’s birthday the whole week.
