Explore Durban’s new Waterfall-to-Waterfall hiking and camping trail

Durban’s new Waterfall-to-Waterfall trail, developed by Green Corridors, offers an exciting hiking and camping experience just in time for the holiday season. 

This three-day, two-night slackpacking trail promises outdoor enthusiasts a chance to immerse themselves in Durban’s pristine rural landscapes.

The journey begins at Overock in Lower Molweni, meanders through lush valleys to the eNanda Adventure Park at Inanda Dam, and culminates at Amatata Adventures atop Inanda Mountain.

Along the way, hikers will encounter some of the region’s most breathtaking natural scenery while being guided by experts who know the terrain intimately.

The trail was designed and built by local tourism entrepreneurs: Mlu Mthembu from Amatata Adventures, Rasta Reuben from Overock Rasta Camp, and Gabi Ngcobofrom eNanda Adventure Park.

With options for both fully catered and self-catering experiences, the trail accommodates a variety of preferences.

The fully catered option includes camping equipment, stretchers, meals, guiding services, camping fees, and transport to and from Durban.

Campsites are prepared in advance, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The self-catering option provides cooking equipment for those who prefer to prepare their own meals.

“This trail is just the beginning,” says Mlu. “Our plans are underway to expand into three-day trekking experiences with additional package options. Beyond providing memorable adventures, we are aiming to empower local school-leaving young adults to become active in the tourism industry.”
