Concerns continue to be raised over emigration of skilled veterinarians

As Western Cape Minister of Agriculture, Dr Ivan Meyer welcomed the news that the export of thoroughbred horses from South Africa to the EU has resumed after a 14-year absence, concerns have yet again been raised regarding the shortage of veterinarians in the country which could see deadly consequences for animals.
