A strong warning has been issued to social media users who seek to tarnish the reputation of King MisuZulu kaZwelithini.

In a video shared by the Malusi Zondi Foundation, the newly appointed Zulu Royal Chancellor, Inkosi Malusi Zondi, declared that individuals who insult or disrespect the King online will be held accountable for their actions.

Speaking in an interview with "Isolezwe" in Durban, Inkosi Zondi stated, “I will dedicate myself to ensuring that our King and the Zulu nation are respected around the world. If someone wants to antagonise the King, I will defend him. I’m not afraid of anyone.”

He further emphasised the importance of respect, saying, “People who are disrespectful and speak carelessly, as we often see on social media, especially those who do not respect the King, we will seek out those individuals, we will find them, and we will discipline them.”

Inkosi Zondi urged individuals to be mindful of their words, stating, “People should guard their tongues. They can say what they want; however, when it comes to the King, they should know to humble themselves.”

Commenting on the video, this is what netizens had to say:

Clinton Masuku said: “Thank you Ndabezitha. We’ve been cautioning against this. ‘You can’t speak against your father no matter what they do’. Thank you Bhambatha kaMancinza, you are a hero. We are tired of teaching people who do not listen.”

Sanele Nxumalo expressed: “Bhambatha, we are happy to hear this. Hopefully, it can happen as soon as possible.✊”

Thando Cele remarked: “No ways. There is freedom of speech. No one breaks from what idiots write online. No one is off limits online.”

Sizwe C. Ntshangase added: “Thank you Zondi for your campaign of restoring dignity to the image of our kings.”

In addition to his role as Chancellor, Inkosi Zondi is a businessman with interests in construction and security.

He revealed that he established these companies to inspire confidence among the youth and the community.

“Holding respect in high esteem is crucial,” he said. “It is important for people to respect one another and also to respect the King.”

In October, King MisuZulu kaZwelithini officially appointed Inkosi Malusi Zondi as an Inkosi and Chancellor at eMashobeni Palace in Phongolo.

Inkosi Zondi hails from Inanda/uMzinyathi and serves as the president of the Black Business Federation.

His coronation was marked by the presence of 3,000 Amabutho (warriors) and delegates from as far afield as Malawi and Zambia.
