1. Chris Brown granted bail ahead of world tour

After reapplying for bail, American R&B singer Chris Brown has finally been granted bail in connection with an assault case in the UK.

The “Under The Influence” singer was released after agreeing to pay a guarantee of R120 million to a UK court. 

As part of his bail conditions, Brown is allowed to continue with his international tour, which starts on June 8 in Amsterdam. He is required to return to the UK for performances starting June 15. If he fails to do so, the R120 million guarantee will be forfeited. 

Brown was detained in the UK over allegations of an unprovoked assault on music producer Abe Diaw at a London nightclub in 2023.

2. Skai Jackson seeks restraining order amid abuse claims

Skai Jackson, the former Disney star, has filed for a restraining order against Deondre Burgin, the father of her three-month-old son, Kasai.

She alleges physical and emotional abuse, including violent threats and destructive behaviour, which escalated during her pregnancy. 

Jackson’s request includes keeping Burgin at a distance from her, their child and her pets, as well as requiring him to undergo domestic violence treatment, pay child support and reimburse her legal fees.

3. Jesy Nelson welcomes twin daughters after a challenging pregnancy

Jesy Nelson, the former Little Mix star, has joyfully announced the arrival of her twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe.

10. BET Africa and SA Tourism set to celebrate South African talent

BET Africa is partnering with SA Tourism to host exclusive parties honouring South Africa’s top nominees ahead of the 2025 BET Awards. 

The celebrations will showcase the country’s rich musical talent, featuring nominees like emerging stars Maglera Doe Boy, TxC, and Dlala Thukzin in the Best New International Act category. 

Established acts Tyla and DJ Uncle Waffles are also nominated in the Best International Act category. The festivities will take place before the nominees head to Los Angeles for the awards ceremony on June 9.
