Rapper and songwriter Maglera Doe Boy’s music continues to shine internationally.

The Free State-born artist, whose real name is Tokelo Moyakhe, recently took to his social media announcing that “Italy”, a song from his 2024 body of work “Maglera Tapes”, has been featured in American actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele’s movie “Him”.

“My song ‘Italy’ is featured on the soundtrack for the new Jordan Peele movie ‘HIM’ coming out on the 19th of September,” he wrote.

Known for his horror and comedy classics, Peele is about to give viewers and fans yet another chilling body of work with the upcoming horror film “Him”, and Moyakhe's music contributes to the film's storytelling.

The movie is set for release on September 19, 2025.

Directed by Justin Tipping and produced by Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, the film is based on Cameron Cade, played by Tyriq Withers.

On “HIM”, Withers plays a promising young football player who gets invited to train at an isolated compound that belongs to an almost-retired quarterback legend, Isaiah White, played by Marlon Wayans.

The young player is later taken into a chilling journey of what he has to deal with and what he has to sacrifice for fame and success.

This is not the first time Moyakhe’s music has been featured on international TV.

In June, he was featured on the soundtrack of the fourth season of “Godfather of Harlem”, which was curated by American rapper and record producer Swizz Beatz.

The “Godfather of Harlem” is a gritty crime series based on the tumultuous world of the 1960s in New York, Harlem.

Moyakhe’s profound songwriting skills and versatile flow speak for themselves.

He has managed to be in a league of his own with his raw and relatable lyrics and commanding voice.

He has proven to be a household name in the local hip hop game. He came into the scene claiming his MVP spot, which he continues to maintain along with his talent and work ethic.

Again, he will be adding the distinct Mzansi flavour as the only South African to be featured in yet another international movie soundtrack alongside other respected artists.

The “HIM” soundtrack features iconic American artists such as Outkast, Gucci Mane, Tierra Whack and Guapdad 4000 to list a few.
