Rachel Kolisi recently gave followers a raw, behind-the-scenes glimpse of her upcoming documentary, "Falling Forward".

In a video shared on Instagram, Kolisi is seen driving while reflecting on past choices that took a toll on her mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

"I think you've all got the ability to be resilient and every single day we all wake up with choices that we are allowed to make, that we're in control of and how we choose to use those really lands us up in a really healthy and whole space, or in a really dangerous, unhealthy place," she shares.

Opening up about her personal struggles, she admitted that she is no longer willing to settle for a life of self-sacrifice: "I've done unhealthy, I've done unhealthy for too long. I have made unhealthy decisions.

"I have sacrificed myself, my mental health, my emotional health, my physical health. I've sacrificed for too long, and I don't want to do that anymore.

"I've chosen to take the longer, harder healing road. I don't know what it spits out at the end of it, but I'm more excited for that woman at the end of this journey than I am for the alternative, so yeah, I am happy to put in the hard work and make hard decisions now because I know the result is going to be good."

The documentary serves as the heartbeat of the "Falling Forward" national roadshow, an immersive experience travelling across South Africa.

Kolisi explained that the project isn't about her high-profile marriage to Springboks captain Siya Kolisi or the public's curiosity about their lives. Instead, it is an intimate exploration of her own inner growth.

In the caption alongside the video, she described the goal of the upcoming screenings: "A glimpse into what you can expect at the 'Falling Forward' documentary screening, as we are just days away from our first showing.

"In every city, we are creating intentional spaces for you to see pieces of yourself to recognise your own strength, your own becoming, your own forward motion, even when it felt impossible."
