As the premier date for the "Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special" approaches, Disney+ has released a new trailer, showing Miley Cyrus in her iconic blonde wig and dressed like her character, Miley Stewart.

Her character in the show led a double life: a high school student during the day who transformed into the pop star Hannah Montana by night, complete with a blonde wig.

In the trailer released on Tuesday, March 10, Miley is seen revisiting the “Hannah Montana” set alongside her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, as she proceeds to say she’s already getting “emotional”.

“This anniversary is for them, it’s for us,” Miley said in the trailer.

The trailer also features clips showing Miley exploring the redesigned set alongside her mother.

In another clip, she is seen playfully "booty bumping" her dad, whose casual attire still closely resembles his famous Robby Ray Stewart look.

Billy Ray also took to Instagram and shared the video of the trailer and wrote: “Some things never changed… 20 years later and @mileycyrus still knows the old handshake trick.”

When the anniversary special was announced in February, Disney teased that the special would include previously unreleased archival footage while revisiting the show’s most memorable music and iconic moments.

It will also feature an in-depth interview with Alex Cooper and Miley.

According to the press release shared by the streaming platform, the conversation within their interview will provide an intimate glimpse into the creation of a pop culture icon.

It will also explore the lasting impact the character and the show have made on fans globally.

“Hannah Montana” premiered on Disney Channel in 2006 and ran for four seasons.

To make this even more memorable, the anniversary special will also be released on March 4, which is the exact date that the series premiered 20 years ago.

When Miley made the announcement on February 17, fans lost it because they would finally relive one of their childhood memorable moments.

I was also beaming with excitement as I grew up watching “Hannah Montana”, and it was one of the shows that I loved watching on Disney.

While it definitely won’t be the same as the original series, it is nice to tap into that wave of nostalgia.
