IT IS said that across the world, we all have someone who looks like you.
Well, one man from South Africa, Mzolisto Madlala, was told he looks like American award-winning actor and rapper Will Smith.
In January, Madlala simply shared a picture of himself on Facebook, and in his caption, he shared: “Hello… someone said I look like Will Smith a little bit. Could anyone add him on this picture. Thanks.”
Over a month later, the post reached Smith and he decided to share Madlala’s post on his Instagram account, to his 69.3 million followers asking them to help Madlala with his request.
“Can anyone help him with this edit? Gotta be sure,” captioned Smith the post.
When it comes to social media, borders between continents aren’t an issue and it’s very easy for a person in a different country to see content from another country.
South Africans who came across Smith’s post took to the comment section to share their thoughts on whether Madlala looks like the Bad Boys actor and to give him props for getting the superstar’s attention.
Madlala re-shared Smith’s Instagram post onto his Facebook account and simply put the hidden face emoji but his friends weren’t embarrassed on his behalf and congratulated him.
Some could see the resemblance, with one comment reading: “Honestly...if I squint my eyes he definitely kinda does. Temu Will Smith. Independence Day 4. Far Fetch Prince of Bel Air. Love this for him.”
Another commented: “We got Will Smith at home!”
Others thought it was a helse joke and added comments such as: “When you order Will Smith from Temu!”
Another added: “Lmao I knew he was South African before I even saw his name.”
A post also read: “You just unlocked a new level of influence—making random people go viral with a single screenshot! What’s next? Creating celebrities with just a look?!”
