This is how much the top 10 F1 drivers earned this season

In one of the most thrilling seasons in Formula 1 history, Lando Norris edged Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri to win the 2025 Drivers’ Championship by just two points, we look at the earnings from this season. 

Verstappen, which may be no surprise, walked away with the most race wins and money this season but arguably the biggest shocker is how much Ferrari spent on its drivers compared to the their performance this season. 

1 Lando Norris (McLaren)

2025 Total Earnings: $57.5 million made up of his salary of $18 million plus his bonuses of $39.5 million.

Norris finished the season with 423 points and was crowned World Champion. 

2 Max Verstappen (Red Bull)

Total Earnings: $76 million made up of his salary of $65 million plus his bonuses: $11 million. 

Verstappen finished second place in the drivers championship with 421 points. 

3 Oscar Piastri (McLaren)

Total Earnings: $37.5 million made up of his salary of $10 million plus his bonuses amounting to $27.5 million . 

Piastri finished third in the drivers championship with 410 points.

4 George Russell (Mercedes)

Total Earnings: $26 million made up of his salary of $15 million and bonuses of $11 million. 

Russell finished with 319 points this season. 

5 Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)

Total Earnings: Leclerc earned a total Salary of $30 million and earned no bonuses.

Leclerc won 242 points this season. 

6 Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari)

Total Earnings: Going into this season as a seven-time world champion was the only reason to justify Hamilton's Salary of $70 million. He earned a bonus of $500 000, racking his 2025 total up to $70.5 million.

Hamilton won 156 points this season. 

7 Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes)

Total Earnings: Lets not forget that Antonelli is still in school and earned a salary of $5 million this year with a bonus of $7.5 million, taking his total earnings to $12.5 million.

Richest self-made kid in his school? You can almost bet on it.

Antonelli scooped 150 points in his first season on the grid. 

8 Alexander Albon (Williams)

Total Earnings: Albon earned a salary of an estimated $8 million and no reported bonuses.

He finished with 73 points. 

9 Carlos Sainz (Williams)

Total Earnings: Even though his team mate Albon finished above him this season, Sainz pulled in a salary of $10 million with a bonus of $3 million, taking his earnings to $13 million this season.

Sainz scored 56 points. 

10 Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin)

Total Earnings: One of the richest drivers on the grid, Alonso has been earning million dollar salaries since the early 2000s and hasn't stopped racing since. Alonso pulled in a $24 million salary this season, with a $2.5 million bonus, taking his earnings to $26.5 million.

He also finished with 56 points.
