IN ITS ONGOING efforts to connect with communities, Sunfree, a company specialising in the manufacture and supply of essential consumer goods, interacted with residents in Phoenix, Durban, and delivered a wellness day programme to promote healthy lifestyles.

Apart from enjoying the treats and some fun-filled activities during the event staged in Stanmore, residents also had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Sunfree's hygiene and food product ranges.

Sunfree's marketing team leader Tiarra Lee spoke about the event's significance: “The event was important because it allowed us to connect directly with the community and demonstrate that Sunfree is more than just a brand; we genuinely care about people’s well-being.”

She emphasised that apart from raising awareness around hygiene and wellness, especially among young girls, they got to highlight the virtues of healthy living.

“The positive feedback and engagement we received have inspired us to continue creating meaningful experiences for the community. We plan to make this an annual event.”

She said they chose Phoenix for their event because it was a family oriented community that reflected the spirit of their brand.

Lee said they had future events lined-up for the region, which will focus on empowering girls and families in the region, it will also include Sunfree's "PAD" programmes, where they distribute free sanitary pads at schools and educate girls on menstrual health.

“Ultimately, we want to empower communities while positioning Sunfree as a brand that genuinely cares,” she said.
