In a heart-wrenching plea for public assistance, the family of 19-year-old Mihle Vimbani is asking the community to help locate their missing daughter.
Vimbani, who resides in Welbedacht East, Chatsworth in KwaZulu-Natal, was last seen on Thursday, 13 November 2025. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance have left her family anxious and desperate for answers.
According to family members, Mihle travelled by taxi to Mthatha in the Eastern Cape to collect her driver’s licence. Reports confirm that she successfully arrived at the licensing office and collected her licence. Mihle even managed to phone her mother, reassuring her that everything was fine. However, since that call, her cellphone has been switched off, and she has not returned home.
Mihle’s attire at the time she went missing, a black T-shirt, black jeans, a black jacket, and black takkies, has been noted by her family in their search efforts, hoping that someone may recognise her or have seen her in the period following her last phone call.
The family is distraught over her sudden disappearance and implores anyone with information regarding Mihle's whereabouts to come forward.
"We are worried sick and just want her home safely," said a family member. The community is urged to play a vital role in bringing Mihle back home.
Authorities have also joined the search, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 086 1234 333. Every little piece of information could be crucial in locating this young woman and reuniting her with her family.
