The Proteas handed India their heaviest defeat in Test cricket (by 408 runs) to complete a
2-0 series sweep for the first time in 25 years. It also marked their 11th win in 12 Tests under captain Temba Bavuma.

@ashwinravi99 Huge huge achievement for the Proteas, they have put their stamp of authority and showed why they are the deserved holders of the WTC title. #indvsa

@NamraPatel__ The weakness of India in batting against spin in the subcontinent is now finally getting exposed. For several years, our spinners dominated & we overcame the challenge. But now we don’t have any room to hide. Batters should be selected on the basis of their performance in first class cricket. Selection simply cannot be based on the preference of a coach. You’ll have to pick those who deserve to be in the side. More importantly, there should be hunger to score runs. The 5 match Test series in early 2027 can also turn out to be a whitewash if they don’t learn from mistakes & continue playing the similar way.

@cupid_friend Honestly we (India) were outplayed in all departments.

@Afshar_Sameem Just one question, what went wrong? I know SA played some of the best cricket they’ve played at India, but what about the Indian side?

@SoruKhandelia India’s humiliating 2-0 home whitewash by SA exposes the BCCI‘s disastrous obsession with IPL glamour over nurturing genuine red-ball talent through the Ranji Trophy – it’s high time we prioritised domestic grinders who excel in Test conditions instead of flashy T20 mercenaries.

@IndusMillennial They conquered Test championship. This series is nothing special. Visiting teams are going to hammer us in the coming years.

@SuperSportTV A moment 25 years in the making. The Proteas Men win a Test series in India for the first time since 2000.

@khomarsamy68969 Feels like the good old days of SA cricket again! Even the fielding has been reminiscent of days past – Jonty et al. Well done Proteas! Well done Bavuma. You’ve proved a lot of people wrong, myself included once upon a time...

@IamZwelihle Just incredible man, we questioned the decision to declare so late, but the team have just been outstanding. Temba and team take a bow.

@CyrilMboweni1 What an achievement. We have literally dominated India! One of the all-time great series wins by the Proteas.

@INZIRajpoot17 This is a huge dream come true. Thrashing India in their own backyard is massive for South Africa. The whole team delivered outstanding performances. It was a complete all-round show of pure dominance. Honestly, it felt like South Africa were playing at home.

@matsi_moswane This Proteas team really has turned things around.
