The Mbombela Stadium saga has come back to haunt Kaizer Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung.
@AdvoBarryRoux These are scandals that Bobby Motaung is involved in, and somehow he is a free man! 1) Lefika (Motaung’s firm) entered a R1.2 billion deal for a Krugersdorp sports complex; construction never started, and the facility remains in ruins. 2) He was arrested by the Hawks for R143 million fraud involving forged tax certificates, fake council letters, and faked signatures; the case was dropped due to “lack of evidence”. 3) Hawks Colonel Welcome Mhlongo pressured an NPA advocate to “get rid of Motaung’s fraud case”, confirmed under oath at the Zondo Inquiry. 4) A whistleblower council speaker was shot dead before laying charges; Motaung sought to gag the Sunday World, and the murder remains unsolved. 5) SARS liquidators pursued R90 million from Motaung’s consortium after a R183 million share sale, including an alleged fraudulent R8 million transfer to Kaizer Holdings. 6) A suspended Mpumalanga Police Commissioner alleged that R5 million was paid to National Police Commissioner Masemola to block her return by Bobby Motaung.
@TBang797 They have been probing this for years. Corruption is destroying the essence of South Africa. It has been two decades, yet nothing has been done. The Public Protector and the National Prosecuting Authority have failed South Africa. Bobby Motaung is not above the law; he is not an exception to it.
@zobaphi4 His father is also involved in this situation, which makes it even more complicated.
@Akwandre1 Ever since he took charge of the club, whatever position they gave him, the club has only experienced bad luck. Now it seems he was busy doing unthinkable things. It would really help the club progress if he focused all his efforts on it, but he was too busy inviting misfortune.
@NewMegamind Bobby is not the target; the real target here is Fannie Masemola so they can put pressure on Mkhwanazi. Do not fall for the trick, South Africans; we are dealing with highly educated criminals here.
@BladesSpookie There needs to be another Mahlangu Commission on this. The SAPS, from top to bottom, has been compromised, and there needs to be new leadership at the helm.
@DavidMabuzaM He must be arrested; maybe Kaizer Chiefs can start winning trophies.
@Ndabaj Where there is smoke, there is fire. Bobby must account for his actions. For the longest time, I have heard about allegations of lawbreaking and bribery, and it was hard to believe back then. It cannot be that people are targeting Bobby for nothing; something is definitely wrong.
