A violent brawl broke out at Oceans Mall in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, on Saturday night, leaving several patrons injured.
According to a statement released by the mall, the chaos erupted as attendees were leaving the music event held at the Piazza.
Initial reports suggest that what began as a minor altercation quickly escalated into a full-blown confrontation, resulting in injuries to several individuals.
Emergency services were promptly deployed to the scene to tend to the injured, most of whom sustained minor injuries. The South African Police Service (SAPS) has since launched an investigation into the incident and is actively appealing for assistance from the public.
The mall said police are particularly interested in acquiring any video footage or eyewitness accounts that could help identify those involved in the skirmish.

The mall has confirmed that an internal investigation is underway, in close collaboration with its security partners, to get to the bottom of the incident.
“The safety and well-being of our visitors, tenants, and staff remain our highest priority,” read the mall’s statement.
“We are also reinforcing additional protocols and preventative measures within our security team to ensure the continued safety of our patrons. Your safety will always be our priority," added the mall.
