The body of a woman, who was flung 30m during a horror accident in Hayfields, Pietermaritzburg, early on Tuesday was found in an adjacent property, several hours after police had been called to the scene.
SAPS spokesperson Joshua Gwala said the woman was thought to have been a passenger in a white Ford Courier bakkie, which had veered out of control, smashed into a brick wall and had overturned in Murray Road after midnight.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Thulani Madlala, 18, died.
A second unidentified male passenger was taken to Northdale Hospital in a serious condition. Gwala said the woman was believed to be about 25. Anyone who can help identify the body can contact Inspector A Majozi at 033 845 7722.
