UShaka Marine World’s popular Wet ’n Wild water park will reopen its doors to the public on Thursday following the successful completion of repairs and technical assessments.

The entertainment attraction was temporarily closed after a technical fault was detected in the water plant system.

Management said the issue required immediate intervention to protect key operational infrastructure and to ensure that water quality standards for guests were maintained.

According to the park, technical teams worked around the clock to carry out the necessary repairs and conduct comprehensive inspections. All water quality and safety standards have since been verified as compliant.

Chief executive officer Ndabo Khoza said guest safety and the integrity of the facilities remain the park’s top priorities.

“We are satisfied that all necessary measures have been implemented and that Wet ’n Wild is ready to safely welcome visitors once again,” Khoza said. “We extend our sincere appreciation to all stakeholders for their patience and continued support.”

Wet ’n Wild is one of the flagship attractions at the Durban-based marine theme park, drawing thousands of visitors annually.
