The road to happiness

I learned a vital skill, as a child. I had to.

Finding peace.

Amidst contradiction.

Am I in deep pain? Yes.

Overwhelmed by grief? Yes.

Is there a crater-sized hole in my heart? Yes.

And:

Did I love watching the sunrise? Yes.

Am I deeply happy and grateful? Yes.

Is tomorrow going to be just exquisite? Yes.

When you have learned how:

Both can be true. Simultaneously.
