EFF rejects Equality Court’s finding that Julius Malema incited violence. It says the ruling criminalises black consciousness and revolutionary thought. The party said legal action is being pursued at the Supreme Court of Appeal.

@EFFSouthAfrica We note the Court’s ruling as an attack on the democratic space and the right to articulate revolutionary politics. The language of revolution cannot be sanitised to comfort the sensitivities of those who continue to enjoy the fruits of colonial dispossession and have never experienced racial violence whatsoever. The real violence is the daily reality of landlessness, unemployment, and racism that black people endure.
@MoyaProf Another clear sign that the courts are owned by our own oppressors. They oppressed us for years and now want to define our language, we must all condemn this. The righteous call by uMkhonto weSizwe Party to replace the constitution with African Law must be supported by all. Urgent
@ThePoint2Day Not too long ago after an issue in court Malema said on record that we must accept the court ruling. Seems he does not practice what he preaches.
@CitizenScoopX Oh please!! @Julius_S_Malema‘s call to “never be scared to kill” is hate speech!! And always was!! Democracy protects speech, not bloodlust. Loudmouth demagogues like him thrive o-n chaos!! He should be NOWHERE close to parliament or in any position of power!!
@Dr_Ndlozi_Maths You must never be scared to kill. A revolution demands that, at some point, there must be killing, because the killing is a part of a revolutionary act. Mandela did it, Fidel Castro did it, and many other revolutionaries. Hamas, too, must do it.
@songezomazizi The judgement against CIC @Julius_S_Malema is an attack on black people whom were attacked by white racist. I support the appeal against this judgment.
@papakgosi10 Malema should learn to respect people, we are no longer into apartheid era. The militant revolution ended then, it’s not our fault that he can’t use his mind to deal with the status quo and resort to violence He couldn’t even throw a single punch here, yet he’s talking about killing.
@ZizinjaAbelungu The Equality Court in Cape Town found Julius Malema guilty on counts of hate speech. This was a Political Statement not Hate Speech! The EFF must appeal this ruling. Racism is violence, poverty is violence, being called by the K-word is violence, toilet bucket system in 2025 is violence.
@Malose_Monene The three things Julius Malema said here are: 1. If attacked defend yourself. 2. If attacked follow up on your attacker. 3. There are times when revolution calls for invocation of violent means. Nothing remotely, by any stretch of imagination, hate speech there. APPEAL THIS PLEASE!
@MapolankaM60068 If u read between the lines, obviously, this is an order from White House that Ramaphosa must do something about Julius Malema. An order is put into effect, ramaphosa and his government must be seen working. This is a huge blunder by the Equality court.
@StarkieMatjila THIS CAPE COURT IS BECOMING A TERRORIST OF FREEDOM VOICE THATS GOING TO TURNS VIOLENT CAUSE THEY JUST WANT A WIN OVER A CHANT SONG:” KILL THE BOER KILL THE FARMER LONG TIME AGO RULING MADE OVER THE FREEDOM CHANT THIS COURT MUST ADDRESS ATROCITIES WITHIN CAPE
