Following the hugely successful hosting of the inaugural LIV Golf South Africa event at The Club at Steyn City last week, tickets have already gone on sale for the 2027 edition.
The cheapest ‘Grounds Pass’ tickets on sale are for the first day of the tournament on Thursday (April 22) for R774. This includes entry to the course and admittance to the concert in the evening following the conclusion of the day’s play.
The more expensive ‘Grounds Plus’ tickets start at R1,582 for Thursday.
This includes full course access, prime vantage points and entry into selected shaded areas.
The prices of tickets increase each day, with the Grounds Pass starting at R1,105 on the Friday, R1,520 on Saturday and cheaper again on Sunday as they start at R1,161.
A four-day pass, which includes every day of the tournament, starts at R3,980, a saving of R580 for the bulk purchase.
Tickets went on sale on Sunday and will likely sell out fairly soon - much as they did for the 2026 event. In fact, the Grounds Plus tickets for Sunday have already sold out.
More tickets will be released closer to the time, but they will be much more expensive - which is the cheapest starting from around R1,700 for Thursday play.
The doyen of SA golf, Gary Player, even sang the praises of the LIV Golf SA. The 90-year-old Player was a vocal critic of the Saudi-funded breakaway LIV Golf Tour when it launched in 2022.
The event welcomed over 100,000 spectators throughout the week. It made it the most well-attended golf event in South Africa ever, beating out the Gary Player-hosted Nedbank Golf Challenge, which held the previous record at just over 76,000.
