We are not all the same and not every day is the same. We all have our ups and downs and sometimes it rains and the weather is cold and miserable and we can hardly bend our fingers without pain.

On other days the sun shines and the birds sing, making the day simply beautiful.

What is important is that we take each day in its stride and try our very best not to become overwhelmed by the moment and always remember the Creator gave opportunity to say thanks.

Where am I going with all this? As we go about our day we must spare a thought for those in hospitals struggling with difficult illnesses that cause great pain and suffering.

We must also be grateful that we have no serious disabling physical/mental illness that causes us to become institutionalised or drug dependent.

Across the world, millions of people are suffering from serious issues that would make our lives intolerable, but these people survive because they have spiritual strengths that carry them forward.

The purpose of this letter is multifaceted since it is to convey the message that no matter how bad things become, there is always light at the end of every tunnel because the Creator is merciful.

Thus, no matter what happens or how bad we think the situation is, that moment and that day of horror will end and another day will bring something better.

What is important to note is that those whom God loves, God tests often. Look at Jesus the Messiah, son of Mary. He was persecuted for speaking the truth asking for justice for the oppressed and wanting a better life for people.

Similarly, Muhammed the son of Amina told the wealthy in Mecca to stop being cruel and to worship one

God and they tried to kill him.

Jesus and Prophet Muhammed did not ask for wealth or title/ power but simply spoke about truth and justice, yet they were heavily persecuted.

Not everything in life must be an adventure. Sometimes it’s okay to be grateful for the little things.

Sometimes being bored or just being okay is okay. Just thanking God that we can walk and talk, eat and sleep without medication and be free of pain is enough to be grateful for and say thanks.
