October is our Pride Month – we must not forget our history and its context

OPINION: Dr Nyx McLean writes that it is important for South Africa’s LGBTIAQ+ people to October recognise as our Pride month, and how on 13 October 1990, approximately 800 people marched in Johannesburg with their faces covered with paper bags.
