Durban — The Glory Bush Foundation will host a career exhibition in Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu on Thursday.
Over 600 pupils in grades nine to eleven, TVET colleges and associated organisations are expected to attend. Also, approximately 2 398 matric learners are expected to attend the exhibition from 36 secondary schools on Friday. They expect a variety of institutions of higher learning and funding institutions to be available.
In a statement the foundation stated that they are excited about the career exhibition because it will prove to transform the lives of the pupils and educational enthusiasts across KwaMashu and surrounding areas.
The foundation is expected to host industry leaders, educational institutions, and career development experts. It also revealed that it aims to empower teenagers and youth through education by creating awareness of critical industry skills. The career exhibition is an opportunity for high school learners from the Durban North-West CMC (KwaMashu Central, Kraanskloof, Ntuzuma and Malandela Circuits) to gain exposure to different career programs.
They will also be guided on how their career choices align with their subject choices. We also hope to provide pupils with a comprehensive overview of the professional world.
Director at the Glory Bush Foundation, Zinhle Mbatha said that the event is a testament to their commitment to fostering educational and professional growth within KwaMashu and the INK area.
“We are thrilled to host this career exhibition at Princess Magogo Stadium, aiming to empower our community with valuable career insights and opportunities,” Mbatha said.
