DURBAN - AmaZulu Football Club owner Sandile Zungu visited the Nazareth Baptist Church Ebuhleni faction ahead of the CAF cup competition to seek the blessings of its leader, Mduduzi “Unyazilwezulu” Shembe.

Zungu, a well-known businessman, was accompanied by club officials including the head of communications Phumlani Dube. He presented Shembe with a club jersey branded with the leader’s name, and asked for his blessings before the club left for the CAF cup competition.

Unyazi hailed Zungu for bringing stability to the club, saying since he took over supporters were no longer holding their breath until the final whistle, like before. The Ebuhleni leader is an ardent AmaZulu FC supporter.

He also praised coach Benny McCarthy for his good work and said he hoped to see the club garnering more trophies as it had done in the 1970s.
