Local gqom artist Babes Wodumo has called out Mango Airlines for not providing support after her dancers had items stolen from their luggage after a flight to Cape Town.

The 'Wololo' artist put Mango Airlines on blast posting a screenshot of one of her dancers, Hlengiwe Mbambo, claiming that upon landing in Cape Town they found their luggage half opened with items missing.

Mbambo also claims that when they approached Mango to assist them with their problem the airlines refused to "help or pay", resulting in Babes voicing her disappointment with the way the airline handled the situation on Instagram.

@FlyMangoSA, what a disappointment, my dancers clothes were stolen from their bags today while travelling with @FlyMangoSA to CPT - some bags came back half open and the airline refuses to help or pay. This is proper theft

Mango Airline spokesperson Sergio Dos Santos spoke to Drum Magazine and stated:  “Firstly, Mango Airlines would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to Ms Simelane. We are aware of the incident and offered compensation for the lost items in accordance with our terms and conditions. We are, however, investigating the matter and will have more information once it is concluded.”
