South African multi-talented personality, Pearl Thusi, recently found herself confronting the harsh realities of online trolling, as she took to the social media platform X to address the ongoing hate she has received over the years.

Throughout 2024 Thusi had to defend herself against haters at every turn.

In November, she took to social media to state that personal growth has taught her an invaluable lesson: there are more constructive ways to handle negativity.

In her video at the time, she said: “I am struggling to keep up with this hectic information age with all the content I need to keep up with, the things I need to do and then with all the people checking up on me, and I am looking at the comments, people are accusing me of doing drugs, saying I’m high, saying I’m old, saying I’m ugly ...”

While wishing netizens a Happy New Year in her latest post, Thusi also expressed frustration at the level of negativity directed towards her.

She posted on X: “I’ll never understand sometimes the level of hate and disrespect I get here. I just live my life, and how that upset so many people I’ve realised is not my concern to understand,” she wrote.

Thusi made it clear that while she is hurt by the comments, the happiness derived from her suffering is short-lived for those who engage in such behaviour.

“But if lying and dragging my name makes you happy, I’m glad I brought that short-lived happiness. I hope you guys never experience what you’ve put me through. Without God, I wouldn’t have survived that and still continued rising,” wrote “The Real Pearl Thusi” reality star.

Her words serve not just as a reaction to her detractors, but also as an inspiring message to her supporters.

“I’m truly living proof that only God can destroy what and who he’s built. Regardless, I hope you all have a beautiful 2025. 🤍,” she ended.
