From sleeping next to his brand-new Ford Raptor, to acting as a security with a torch and guarding his vehicle to recently imitating Nollywood movies witchcraft and ritual protection vibes, the Limpopo-born singer King Monada has kept social media buzzing with laughter.

The ‘Ex Yaka’ hitmaker has left netizens crawling on the floor with his humorous content as he engages with excitement following the purchase of the vehicle.

Last Friday King Monada, real name Khutso Steven Kgatle, announced that he bought a Ford Raptor, a luxury vehicle worth around R1 million, by posting a cheerful picture of himself sleeping next to it, guarding it.

The picture has since gone viral and garnered over 100,000 reactions on his Facebook page, in which the star can be seen sleeping on a carpet with a pillow and a throw while holding what looks like a bird's guns.

As much as King Monada may have been joking, bakkies are among the most stolen cars in South Africa.

All of this happened in his mansion, situated in the village of Mokgolobotho, Tzaneen, in Limpopo.

He captioned his post: “Eix Goodnight guys 😴....Rolwa letlala gape kaosane🙆‍♂️ (Which translates to, we will fight with hunger again the following day.”

His fans, followers and supporters flooded to the comment sections, with many of them buzzing with laughter following his post, including music producer and singer Kgaogelo Moagi, well-known as Master KG and singer TNS, real name Nkazimulo Ngema.

It did not stop there, on Saturday the singer continued the fun by posting another video, dressed in a camo attire, cap written ‘security,’ armed with a torch, handcuffs and a security baton, as he was cautiously guarding his vehicle.

“Eix Goodnight bafethu...Duty calls😫🙆‍♂️,” he captioned his video.

On the video, he is seen patrolling near the vehicle and frequently switching on the torch while guarding the vehicle.

The video also quickly gained attention, receiving over 200, 000 reactions, more than 15,000 comments, and over 7,000 shares. It was viewed by close to 3 million people.

His industry mate, DJ Call Me, real name Aubrey Lebese commented and said: “You’re the only dopest security guard that matters in the word (Nagana), which translates to imagine.”

“King, you must tell us if you no longer want to do music (or) you want to be a comedian, this is getting out of hand,” wrote Johannes Phetole.

Just when his fans thought they were done with his hilarious content, on Sunday, he posted another video, but this time it was giving Nollywood witchcraft movies vibes.

He captioned: “You can't buy this type of car and relax 😫🙆‍♂️anyways good night guys 😴 #knowwhatImdoing.”

King Monada, can be seen sitting on a chair made with perennial reed grass, dressed in a white cloth, painted a white circle on his right eye.

He also held a traditional hand-made broom, dipping it inside a bucket filled with water, and sprinkling it around his vehicle and yard, probably for protection.

I nearly forgot to mention that there was smoke emanating next to the bucket and moving towards the vehicle.

One would say that he was performing a ritual protection on his vehicle, but maybe it was just for content creation purposes.

The video, just like the other one, garnered more attention, receiving close to 200,000 reactions and over 1.5 million views.

Heading to the comment section his fan, Kgopana II said: “It's giving boloi (witchcraft) vibes.”

“Somebody needs to take your phone sir,” commented Sechaba Nation Ndhleleni.

Following the posts of ‘Ska Bhora Moreki’ hitmaker, social media users have since started a challenge titled ‘King Monada Challenge,” where they are imitating the singer's social media posts, following the purchase of the vehicle.
