With all the planning that goes into a wedding, it is understandable that a bride would want everything to be perfect on her big day.

This bride, however, might have taken things too far when she asked her brother to leave her wedding - simply because of the colour of his crutches.

The 15-year-old boy took to Reddit’s “Am I the A**hole” page to share his frustration about what happened on his sister’s wedding day.

Because he has mild cerebral palsy he often uses a cane or crutches to walk.

His sister asked him to make his cane more presentable for the wedding.

The theme of the wedding was black and white and his normal cane was covered in stickers.

“I obviously get that it wasn’t exactly formal so I wrapped it in black tape, which my sister was happy with,” he writes.

However, on the day of the wedding, he had to use crutches, which were blue, because his legs were painful and his balance was “way off”.

“I figured it would be fine because who would care anyways?” he assumed.

Later that day he realised that he was wrong in assuming so.

“She seemed awfully offended that I was using my blue crutches and asked if I could just stay seated and not have the crutches out to not ‘ruin the colour scheme’. I was frustrated but I just did it because it’s my sister and she’s right, they stood out a lot,” he continues.

“Come time for pictures and I was heavily relying on my crutches for balance that day. My sister complained to our mum in a cranky voice ‘Boris (me) is ruining the pictures’. I told her to suck it up. Then she begged our mum to tell me to not be in the family photos. I was sure that my mum would notice how ridiculous that is but my mum just sided with my sister and told me that I was technically ruining the theme,” he writes.

“My mum, Sophia and I all got into an argument, I couldn’t believe my sister was crying about something so stupid.”

“My sister's makeup was ruined and now her pictures had “ugly blue crutches” in them. Our mum told me to just leave and had the groom's brother drive me home. I wasn’t allowed to stay for food, or the cake cutting,” he concluded.

His whole family is now saying that he ruined his sister’s special day because he made a fuss.

Most Reddit users are saying that he wasn’t in the wrong and that he wasn’t the a**hole.

“NTA (Not The A**hole). Your family sounds awful I certainly wouldn't be speaking to any of them if I was you,” responded one user.

Another wrote: “NTA. Your crutches aren’t an accessory. They are a necessity. Your sister is shallow. How dare she suggest you not have your very necessary crutches. I’m so mad for you right now!”

“NTA. Why didn’t your family help you cover up your crutches so they were black? Why didn’t anyone offer to help you stand without your crutches, or have you seated in the photos? Also, the crutches can easily be changed colour in photo editing software. I am surprised the photographer did not say that to avoid all of this,” commented another.
