Euro-focused i40 gets super-frugal diesel engine and some nifty features.
Hyundai has taken the wraps off the saloon version of its i40, which is what Europe gets instead of the Sonata. Designed and developed for Europe, it offers the choice between a 1.7-litre diesel in 85kW and 100kW guises, emitting as little as 113g/km of CO2, and there is a 2-litre direct injection petrol motor good for 130kW. Available features include lane departure warning, Bluetooth with voice recognition and heated rear seats.
