Jeremy Clarkson might have been effectively sacked from Top Gear, but that does not mean that he's been barred from the BBC altogether.
The BBC refused to renew his TG contract following a much-publicised spat in which he attacked producer Oisin Tymon, but now Clarkson's been signed up as guest host of satirical news quiz 'Have I got News for You' on April 24.
While this is just one gig, and one that Clarkson has done before, one must wonder how this is in keeping with the 'moral stance' that BBC took in spite of all the public pressure to reinstate Clarkson, with over a million fans even signing a petition to have him reinstated.
At least Clarkson is off the hook legally now, as British police have announced that, after speaking with Tymon, they'll take no action over the “unprovoked physical and verbal attack” that got him fired. Tymon said he did not want to press criminal charges against Clarkson.
