Maribor, Slovenia - When Ski Cross world champion Flip Flisar is late for lunch with his mother, he simply straps on his jetpack and blasts his way across town at up to 120km/h.
There’s no trick photography here; this is all for real, although it’s unlikely the whole two minutes and forty seconds was shot in one take!
The jet pack - a small gas turbine in a custom-made carbon-fibre housing, strapped on using a harness made from several parachute packs - spools up to 96 000rpm and produces 40kg of thrust.
