Berlin, Germany - In a world where oil is, well, a not-very-exciting slippery liquid inside your car's engine, Castrol stands out for some of the world's most imaginative advertising - but this one is really something.
As a promo for new version of its premium Edge lubricant with Titanium Fluid Strength Technology additive, it has created the world's first racing circuit made entirely out of beams of light.
How does that work?
Four of the world's top extreme drivers, in cars seriously quick cars, have to work as a team, in complete darkness, each facing his own unique set of obstacles, as they race against the light, inside a blacked-out hangar on a disused airfield just outside Berlin.
The challenge is called, unsurprisingly, "Blackout".
The four are Ken Block, in his Ford Fiesta rallycross car, works Audi DTM driver Mike Rockenfeller in an Audi R8, South African former A1 GP driver, now a test driver for Lamborghini, in an Aventador, and BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus.
We know it looks like a trailer for a new video game; bear in mind these are real drivers in real cars.
