Mobil 1 is offering motorsport fans around the world the chance to join in on the action with its new online 3D game: Racing Academy.
Players can follow in the footsteps of 2008 Formula One World champion Lewis Hamilton and three-times Nascar champion Tony Stewart as they progress from grassroots series to the very top of motorsport in a free online gaming experience.
Racing Academy is the fourth game in four years to be released by the Mobil 1 team. This year, fans can retrace the careers of their motorsports heroes by competing in the same races and driving the same cars as Hamilton and Stewart, from their earliest days, right through to their current Grand Prix and Nascar drives.
THREE SKILL LEVELS
Players experience the game on three distinct skill levels for each hero. Those tracing the career of Lewis Hamilton will compete in karting, then Formula 3, and finally Grand Prix racing. Those racing as Tony Stewart will progress from Midget Car, to IndyCar, and finally to Nascar.
Fans will be mentored by the two stars every step of the way, with tips for each series, game-stage relevant career overviews and sound bites to encourage the players.
Points are awarded to players according to race place and game level, with a first-place finish in the Grand Prix and Nascar levels generating more points than an equivalent placing in the karting or midget-car levels. Each month twenty winners will be chosen from each series (Grand Prix and Nascar) based on their total point score.
A PRIZE MONEY CAN’T BUY
These winners will be offered a prize that money genuinely can't buy; the top scorers will either have their names placed inside the Mobil 1 logos on the McLaren cars at the US Grand Prix in Austin, or on the Stewart-Haas Racing cars at the Nascar Kobalt Tools 500 in Phoenix.
