Geneva Motor Show - All that Mercedes-AMG is saying about the GT Concept - due to premiere at the show tomorrow, is that it “offers an advance view of its four-door sports car”.
Which seems to confirm that there indeed going to be a four-door version of the AMG GT two-seater and - if this 14 second teaser video is anything to go by - it will bear a strong family resemblance to the existing two-seater models, from the broad, vertically slatted grille, similar to the GT C and GT R, to the rounded rear end treatment, a tribute to the iconic 1950s 300SL Gullwing.
We’d also expect to see the same drivetrain as the two-door models, with one or more versions of their four-litre biturbo V8 driving the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle - and if that includes the 430kW R-spec prime mover, it will give the 404kW Panamera Turbo a big wake-up call.
