Never in my lifetime did I think I would get to see Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It was simply beautiful, a fairytale city on water with turrets, castles, spires, steeples , an old town wall 800 years old and exquisite views.

The cobbled streets are lined with beautifully painted houses all proudly flying flags.
Picture postcard beauty of the Old Town. It’s as if time stood still for centuries.
A seagull keeps watch over this fairytale view of the old town. We were told not to go near nor try to feed these birds as they are extremely aggressive.
This chemist /apothecary is the oldest continuing dispensary in the world! Since the mid 15 th century it has been and still belongs to generations of the same family.
Like something out of a fabled story book the old town of Tallinn is breathtaking in its history and beauty.
Simple dwellings along ancient streets make for stunning views and photos of course.
My passion for doors was well rewarded in Estonia who once belonged to Russia.
Castles, turrets and ramparts have been preserved in this UNESCO World Heritage site.
The city centre with her narrow cobbled shop lined streets creates another opportunity for capturing special pictures for me.
The short summer is celebrated by the locals by displaying exquisite flowers to complement the old wall murals found in all the corners of Tallinn.
