The Lavon Affair was a covert operation orchestrated by Israeli intelligence aimed at destabilising Egypt by attacking American and British targets to frame Egypt as a terrorist state. The operation, known as Operation Susannah, ended in disaster, exposing Israel's willingness to manipulate truth and sacrifice lives for political gain. This incident was not merely an intelligence failure, but indicative of a broader Radical Zionist ethos that says Jewish sovereignty must be maintained at all costs, even if it means engaging in morally questionable tactics.
This mindset continues to prevail within Israeli society today, where military actions are often justified through nationalistic rhetoric, even to the point of defending the torture, sexual abuse and murder of prisoners.
The USS Liberty incident similarly illustrates the dangerous consequences of Radical Zionism. This escalation is not merely a response to immediate threats; it reflects an underlying belief that military superiority is the primary means for achieving security and territorial control. Such actions have dire implications for peace in the region, as they perpetuate cycles of violence that undermine any potential for reconciliation with Palestinians or neighbouring Arab states.

As long as Radical Zionist principles guide Israeli policy, any hope for reconciliation remains bleak.
