Team SA at Paris Paralympics: Medals up for grabs in athletics and swimming

Team South Africa’s Paralympic athletes will be gunning for medals in athletics and swimming events at the 2024 Paris Games on Saturday.

South Africa are involved in three finals at the Stade de France, which was revamped into an track and field venue for the Olympics and the Paralympics.

Manie Blom will compete in the men’s shot put T12 final, while Tezna Abrahams is fighting for a podium finish in the women’s long jump T64 final. In the men’s long jump T63 final, Puseletso Mabote will go for gold.

In the pool, Nathan Hendricks will lead the charge in the Men’s 400m freestyle S13 heats and will be hoping to make the final along with his compatriots who are competing on Saturday.
