Despite his side having claimed a 2-0 win over Jwaneng Galaxy in the first leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary clash at the Botswana National Stadium on Saturday, Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has warned that the job was not yet done.

Goals from striker Tshegofatso Mabasa and Deon Hotto were enough to ensure that Pirates headed into the second leg of the tie with a healthy lead.

However, speaking to the media after the Buccaneer's comfortable victory on Saturday, the Spanish tactician warned his charges that the job was incomplete, as the Soweto giants still have to play Galaxy in the second leg at the Orlando Stadium.

“We got a good result, we managed to capitalise on some good moments in the 90 minutes but this game the way it is, it could have been different as well.

“It’s a good results but it is not over, not at all, there is still 90 minutes to play at least,” Riveiro said.

The Soweto giants were knocked out by the Botswana giants at the same stage of the competition last season and are looking to redeem themselves this time around.

Riveiro, also added the game allowed him to give some of the new players with much needed exposure to continental football.

“It’s about experience today we played many players for the first time, for the first at Pirates, for the first time in the Champions League and those 10, 20, 30 minutes and 90 in some cases.

“It’s the way to improve and transform ourselves and get better,” Riveiro added.

Meanwhile, the Soweto giants will turn their focus to the Betway Premiership on Wednesday as they start their league campaign against Chippa United at the Orlando Stadium.
