Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that youngster Donay Jansen has signed an improved three-year deal that will see him extend his stay at the club.
The 21-year-old was promoted from the club's reserve team at the end of last season after impressing in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC).
The club's Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr, said Donay’s signing was a show of faith in the club's development structures, adding that the signing comes at a crucial time for the club.

“The offer of a new contract to Donay is a clear indication of the Club’s faith in KCYDA’s potential. By extending Donay’s deal until 2027, we are not only securing his immediate future but also making a long-term investment in a player seen as crucial for the Club's ambitions on the pitch.
“This move comes at a time when the Club is focused on building a competitive squad that can challenge other teams in both domestic and continental competitions in the near future,”
Motaung Jr added that retaining a player of Jansen's calibre was important for the “Phefeni Glamour Boys” as they seek to bring back the glory days.

“The league is becoming increasingly competitive and having a blend of experienced players and burgeoning talents like Jansen will be essential for the team’s future success,”
The Soweto giants finished in 10th place in the league table last season and are looking to redeem themselves this season under new coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Chiefs start their league campaign against new Betway Premiership outfit Marumo Gallants on Saturday at the Free State Stadium.
