Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has insisted that his side still have plenty of work to do to reach the quarter-finals of the Caf Champions League.
This statement comes despite the Soweto giants securing an impressive 3-0 victory over Ivorian side Stade d'Abidjan in a Group C match at a raucous Orlando Stadium over the weekend.
The win allowed the Buccaneers to move to the top of Group C with eight points from four matches, surpassing the Egyptian giants Al Ahly, who dropped back after suffering a 1-0 defeat to CR Belouizdad.
However, despite his side being among the favourites to progress in the competition, the Spanish tactician emphasised that the work was still not complete.

"There are two more games to play. It is in our hands to find ourselves in the quarter-finals. But there are still a lot of things to do. It is not done, not even close to advancing to the next round because we still have to play two more tough games,” said Riveiro as per FarPost.
Riveiro believes that the victory against Stade d'Abidjan showed that the Sea Robbers can compete with the continent's best.
“But we have proved that we can compete in a good way with everybody one more time. It is not the first time we have done it, and the guys showed it.
“However, it was an incredible performance from the guys from the first minute till the last whistle. I think the attitude was that of a team that wanted to do something special, keep growing, and achieve things together," Riveiro added.
