Reality TV star Nonku Williams was trending on social media after rumours began circulating that she may not return to “The Real Housewives of Durban” as the new cast started making the rounds online.
This comes after entertainment blogger Jabu McDonald alleged that Williams and Slee Ndlovu may not feature in season five of the hit show.
And while many regard Williams as the show’s villain, there are several others who think that she carries the series and that it would be boring without her in it.
This included @sandyeezy who took to X to write: “Slee we have never needed TBH [to be honest]. It was weird watching her make her whole tenure be about Nonku.
“Nonku has dynamic interactions with everyone, good bad or indifferent, she is in everyone's mouth. That makes her the STAR of the show. PAY HER!!!!!!”
@missnobuhle_ added: “Slee can go but not Nonku nonks because which friendship will we ship, who’s gonna [going to] stir the pot, who’s gonna [going to] be dramatic?
“We understand the watchers are toxic bullies who don’t know how to draw the line and leaving is probably good for her mental health but like? No.”
Meanwhile, others insisted that Williams will be returning for the new season.
Showmax has not yet confirmed the cast members as they have been working on “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip”.
Williams has not addressed the matter. She has been enjoying her birthday month amid attending Women’s Month celebrations.
