Rosey Gold and Jay Music have dropped their electrifying new single “Dominator”, which marks the first release from the highly-anticipated EP, “Amapiano to Ibiza”.

“This vibrant new track is a fresh reinterpretation of Human Resource's iconic '90s Ibiza anthem, merging the soulful beats of South Africa's amapiano with the timeless energy of Ibiza house music,” a statement read.

Gold, a Europe-based South African DJ and producer, brings her unique flair to this track. Renowned for her dynamic mixes that blend amapiano, gqom and house music, her contribution to the song has been lauded.

Partnering with Music, a celebrated amapiano producer from Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape, the duo has created a track that is sure to resonate with listeners globally.

“’Dominator’ is a special project for us,” Gold said.

“It's about honouring the legacy of house music while infusing it with the vibrant, rhythmic energy of amapiano. We hope listeners feel the passion and excitement we've poured into this track.”

He said: “Working on 'Dominator' allowed us to explore new creative depths and celebrate the fusion of two powerful music cultures. It's a celebration of our musical heritage and a nod to the future of amapiano.”

The “Amapiano to Ibiza” EP, which is set to be released in September, will feature a collection of amapiano reinterpretations of classic Ibiza house tracks.

This innovative project aims to bridge musical worlds as it showcases the talents of artists such as DBN Gogo, Kelvin Momo, Major League DJz and 2woBunnies, along with Thuto The Human.

“The EP promises to deliver a unique listening experience, blending deep, soulful amapiano grooves with the euphoric energy of Ibiza's dance anthems,” the statement said.

Amapiano, (the pianos), originated in South Africa and has rapidly grown from its township roots to international acclaim.

With its distinctive blend of deep house, jazz and lounge music, the genre's global impact continues to rise, highlighted by events like the International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza.
