Renowned hitmakers Wanitwa Mos and Nkosazana Daughter’s new album, "Makhelwane", has been dubbed as one of the biggest South African projects of the year.

The soulful offering showcases the synergy between the creators of the chart-topping hits such as "Dali Nguwe" and "Sofa Silahlane". It also fuses bolo house sounds with the soulful essence of amapiano.

"’Makhelwane’ is set to be one of the biggest projects of the year in South Africa, offering a blend of heartfelt melodies and dynamic beats that will captivate audiences worldwide,” a PR statement read.

In addition, the album features an impressive collaborations with some of the industry's finest artists lending their voice to the album, including Mthunzi, Big Zulu, Zee Nxumalo, JL SA, Nobuhle, Mashudu, HarryCane and Casswell P.

“This project promises to deliver a rich and diverse musical experience that fans will undoubtedly cherish.”

The lead singles "Keneilwe" and "Makhelwane", which dropped in November, have racked up well over 60 million streams. "Moyo Ongcwele", a spiritually-enriching track which features Nobuhle and HarryCane, was released on Friday, July 19.

“This dance gospel song masterfully blends the signature sounds of Wanitwa Mos and HarryCane with the soft, captivating vocals of Nobuhle and Nkosazana Daughter, creating an uplifting church groove,” the statement added.

On Women’s Day (August 9), "Mfazi we Phepha" (Summer Wedding Song) by Wanitwa Mos, Nkosazana Daughter, featuring Big Zulu and Zee Nxumalo, will be released.

“This track is poised to become a favourite for summer celebrations, with its infectious rhythm and joyful lyrics,” the statement read, adding, that overall, the album “is a celebration of musical talent, creativity and collaboration”.

“The project showcases the unique Wanitwa Mos Limpopo sound, interwoven with old-school influences and original soulful piano, all while highlighting Nkosazana Daughter's exceptional vocal range and artistic versatility.
