Hollywood A-listers Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are reportedly in early discussions to star in A24’s highly anticipated movie, “The Drama”.

According to “Variety”, the film studio, which brought viewers Netflix’s award-winning series “Beef” as well as "Everything Everywhere All at Once" and "Midsommar", are hoping to bring the stars onto their latest project.

The new film comes on the back of the success of 2023’s, “Dream Scenario”, with Nicolas Cage.

The comedy fantasy was written and directed by renowned Norwegian film-maker Kristoffer Borgli, who is also set to helm “The Drama”.

Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone are set to produce the project under their Square Peg banner.

While details about the movie’s storyline are being kept under wraps, “Deadline” has reported that it involves a romance with a dramatic twist just before the couple’s big day.

Meanwhile, “Variety” added that sources close to the movie suggested that Zendaya’s involvement became a catalyst for its momentum and that her interest in the role was a significant factor in A24’s renewed interest in working with Borgli.

The 27-year-old actress has had a whirlwind 2024 as she starred in the sci-fi adventure “Dune: Part Two” and the tennis drama “Challengers”.

She is also set to reprise her role as Rue Bennet in the third season of HBO’s “Euphoria”.

Pattinson has also had resounding career success. After making a name for himself in the “Twilight” movie series, he played Bruce Wayne in 2022’s “The Batman” and voiced Grey Heron in the English language dub of Hayao Miyazaki’s “The Boy and the Heron”.

The 38-year-old will also be seen in Bong Joon-ho’s science fiction drama “Mickey 17”, which is set to be released in January.

As news of the potential star-studded pairing for “The Drama” continues to make waves, movie fans are thrilled about the flick’s star power and about seeing the duo on screen together.
