OVER the last couple of weeks, people have been posting photos of an unusual drink; the “fluffy coke” as they call it!
This new soda concoction combines marshmallow fluff, ice and coke, in a glass for what is meant to be a sweet and somewhat creamy sip.
Hundreds of TikTok videos, whether ASMR-focused or just people trying out the drink, have received millions of views.
The viral drink craze is thought to have been kicked off by Emma Grace (@not.eg) from the US, and her “Memama”, who shared a wholesome video showing others how to make a“fluffy soda”.
Emma and Memama rated the drink a 10 out of 10 and described it as “creamy”, saying they could drink “four of these”.

More than 288 000 people liked the video, with hundreds of others commenting on it. Some were quick to recommend trying it with other types of fizzy drinks such as root beer, orange Fanta or diet a coke, while some said they add marshmallow fluff to their iced coffee.
A number of other TikTokers have since given the drink a go, with Brinna Ancheta proclaiming it “so good” and urging people to let the drink sit for a while, as this makes it taste more “marshmallow-y”.
With any viral food trend, not everyone was a fan of “fluffy coke’” – some people found the idea too sickly sweet, with @Sheeeshney said: “Adding sugar to coke is CRAZY.”
Similarly, @sjayb22 said: “I could not drink that, I would be sick. I would have a migraine for a week with all that sugar.”
Over on X, people also weren’t convinced.

If you would like to try “fluffy coke”, here’s how to make it at home.
Based on the many videos dedicated to this new viral drink there are some variations out there, but as mentioned above, the core ingredients are marshmallow fluff or crème, ice and coca-cola or a diet coke.
Grab a glass and spread the marshmallow fluff around to coat the inside. Once well-coated, add in the ice. Now, many videos specifically use pebble ice.
This type of ice is made from flaked ice layers which are fused together giving it a brittle texture and making it easier to chew compared to other ice. We don't all have access to that type of ice, so regular cubes are fine.
From there, pour in the coke and stir the contents around with a straw to help incorporate the marshmallow into the soda. And that, dear readers, is a basic “fluffy coke”.
