Imagine getting off a flight, going to baggage claim to receive your luggage and all you get is an apology and a “complimentary t-shirt”?

That’s exactly what happened to South African media personality Minnie Dlamini, who took to X to share her disappoint after British Airways lost her luggage.

According to the actress, she landed in London with a friend to kick off her birthday celebrations only to discover that the airline she was flying with had lost her bags.

“BA LOST MY LUGGAGE 😭@British_Airways Just landed in London to celebrate my birthday with my bestie. Luggage didn’t land with me though. No clothes, no toiletries, what a nightmare. I have photoshoots planned for work but I have none of my stuff to shoot,” shared Dlamini.

In a follow up tweet, she also revealed that all she got when she went to claim her bag was a complimentary t-shirt.

“😭😭😭😭😭 So much for my birthday sho’t left 💔 all I wanted to do was spoil myself after a weekend of working my ass off to celebrate with my girl 😭 I’m so sad I won’t lie,” said the actress.

The official X account for the airline, @British_Airways, offered Dlamini an apology.

“Hi Minnine. I'm sincerely sorry to hear about this situation. Please send us a DM with more information so we can look into this for you. John,” said the account.

However, some X users called on the airline to compensate the South African actress for its negligence.

@Bro_mandla said: “BA please pay her for her belongings or simply find them . I don’t want to fight with you and don’t even start.”

Another user, @Teebaba91, said: “@MinnieDlamini my mother lost her luggage with @KLM since 5 July with kids. I think Europe just does not want to send people's bags or they just taking from people.”
