Just like they have done every year around this time, Apple will be revealing four new iPhones during its “It’s Glowtime” event on Monday, and the lineup will include the iPhone 16 series, the Apple Watch Series 10, Watch Ultra 3, AirPods fourth-generation, and AirPods Max with USB-C.

While consumers may not expect significant changes to the new iPhone models, rumours suggest that a major upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro this year, includes the introduction of a 5x optical zoom telephoto camera (compared to last year's 3x zoom of the iPhone 15 Pro).

Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have a 48MP Ultra Wide Camera that will be capable of capturing footage at 4K resolution at 120 frames per second, making them a great choice for content creators.

Currently, the iPhone 15 Pro Max maxes out at 60 fps when taking 4K video.

When it comes to design changes, the Pro models are said to have larger displays, with the iPhone 16 Pro expected to sport a 6.3-inch screen (up from 6.1-inch) and the Pro Max a 6.9-inch screen (up from 6.7-inch). For the standard models, the display sizes will not be changing.

Apple is also rumoured to have made some changes to the Mute switch on the standard and Plus models by replacing it with an Action Button.

Moreover, a new dedicated camera button, likely called the “Capture Button”, which will allow users to control camera actions using touch gestures, will be introduced across all models.

A new Bronze Titanium colour option is expected for the Pro and Pro Max models, while Natural Titanium, Black Titanium, and White Titanium options will continue to be offered.

For the standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, there will be four colours: blue, green, pink, and white, the latter replacing the current yellow option. The standard models will also switch their rear camera alignment to vertical instead of the diagonal one.

The most anticipated feature and biggest selling point for the iPhone 16 series is Apple Intelligence, a new AI-powered feature that is said to enhance the user experience. Apple’s focus on AI is expected to be a major theme throughout the event.

The event is held at Apple Park, California, United States and can be live streamed on Apple’s website and the company’s official YouTube channel, at 7pm on Monday night.
